Good to know
How should a beginner start Pilates at home?
Start with short sessions of 5 to 10 minutes, two or three times a week, on a mat or soft floor. Begin with breathing, pelvic control and bridges before longer full-body flows. pose’s Core basics and Grounded flow are designed as starting points.
How often should beginners do Pilates?
Two to three sessions a week with rest days in between is a comfortable starting rhythm for most beginners. pose lets you pick 2 to 5 days a week and builds a four-week plan around them.
Do I need a reformer or equipment?
No. pose sessions are mat-style and Pilates-inspired. Most need only a mat or soft floor, and standing sessions use a stable wall.
Is a 10-minute workout enough?
Short sessions make it easier to practise regularly, and consistency matters more than length when you are starting out. You can combine two sessions on days you want more.
What if a movement doesn’t feel right?
Move in a smaller, comfortable range or pause. Every pose workout page lists whether it includes kneeling or weight on the hands, so you can choose sessions that suit you. If you have an injury, a health condition or are pregnant, check with a medical professional first.
