WHO MAKES THIS
Small site,
careful claims.
pose is an independent project building short, beginner-friendly Pilates-inspired sessions for people practising at home. It is written and produced by the pose editorial team, and it is small on purpose.
What pose is
An online membership of follow-along sessions between five and ten minutes long, plus a four-week plan built around the days and session length you choose. Most sessions need a mat or a soft floor; standing and wall sessions need a clear stretch of wall instead.
What pose is not
It is not a clinical service, a rehabilitation programme, or a substitute for a physiotherapist or doctor. Nothing here diagnoses, treats or cures anything. If you have an injury, a health condition, are pregnant or postnatal, or are returning from surgery, get individual advice and follow it over anything written on this site.
How the guides are written
- Each guide starts from standard beginner matwork progressions — breathing, pelvic control, bridges, dead bugs and side-lying work — and describes them in plain language.
- Every workout page lists its duration, equipment, and whether it includes kneeling or weight on the hands, so you can choose what suits you before you start.
- We do not publish before-and-after claims, specific weight-loss promises, or testimonials we cannot verify.
- Guides carry the date they were last reviewed. When a movement cue is contested or unclear in the beginner literature, the page says so rather than picking a side.
How the site is run
The site is built and maintained by a very small team. Pages are static, there are no advertising trackers, and the only data collected is what an account needs to work. Questions, corrections and privacy requests go to the address on the contact page.
If a guide helped, the most useful thing you can do is send it to one person who is trying to start. If something in it is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
The beginner guide covers the first five moves and how to put them into a ten-minute session.
